On July 19, 2024, a grand ceremony was held at FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. in Chengdu, marking the official production launch of the all-new Prado. The return of the all-new Prado, a legendary off-road vehicle, not only signifies FAW Toyota's strategic move into the high-end off-road vehicle sector but also marks the completion of Toyota's intelligent hybrid dual-engine technology's full-scale deployment in China. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.4T 1MT HEV super hybrid system, integrating a high-voltage AC motor, longitudinally placed engine, and an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a confident driving experience across all terrains and scenarios, especially suitable for complex off-road demands.
During the ceremony, executives from FAW Toyota and Toyota Motor Corporation expressed their expectations and confidence in the all-new Prado.
