Toyota's Chief Engineer Praises BYD Seal: A Wake-Up Call For Japanese Automakers

Recently, Tetsuya Tada, the chief engineer of Toyota 86, named the BYD Seal as the Car of the Year during an annual vehicle evaluation and lauded its design and technology. Tada openly acknowledged that while many Japanese consumers still harbor reservations about Chinese-made cars, the rapid technological advancements of China's automotive industry cannot be overlooked.
