To those that are going to be installing the power steering pump, I have a couple suggestions.
if you're going to reuse your high pressure power steering line, there's one thing that the kit does not come with because it's not a regular item, so you have to go by your dealership and ask for the plastic which is a hard plastic White gasket, it's not a rubber. This is the one gasket that must be replaced when reconnecting the high pressure line every single time.
Once you get this, you may feel like it doesn't fit up quite right well to make it fit up, quite right take your 10 mm short socket that has kind of a smaller on the nose than the back. You'll notice that the ring if you press it onto and it fits on there perfectly, push it far back to give it that tiny bit of stretch and this will allow you to properly thread this up on your high pressure line.
After you get it started, (just so you don't take forever) take a paper towel and grab it on the end, and twist it up on the threading to hit the flat spot. This is the seal point where that gasket makes a difference and when you decide to take out the pump that you're working on. If you're not disconnecting the high pressure line first, which I highly recommend you do.
You must take out all the other bolts except the one right next to the high pressure line. When you go to reinstall and you've reconnected everything up all nice, and the bolt is right next to the high pressure line is the last one that you put in, and then it connects your high pressure line, then connect up your return hose, top off your bottle not exceeding the full level rotate the wheel fully left and right not too quick. Then go out and check the level top it off again, do not overfill it and repeat this and I'm speaking of this after you've already reinstalled your serpentine belt. This is to remove all the air out of the system I do recommend before you reconnect the belt that you rotate the pump by hand after you topped off your fluid.
This is to remove any excess air out of the main master cylinder itself of the pump that way. You don't have a dry start to the pump then reconnect your belt, turn your wheel left and right fully each time, go out and recheck it if all sounds good take a final look around for anywhere might possibly have a leak and I said yes to test drive and then check your fluid one last time.
