Honda has confirmed the revival of the all-new Prelude, which is set to debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed and is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. The car will feature a 2.0-liter engine similar to that found in the Civic and Accord models, coupled with a hybrid powertrain comprising two electric motors. It will be equipped with an E-CVT transmission.
From the official images released, the new Prelude showcases a large smoked black grille with arrow-shaped LED headlights. The side profile highlights smoked black multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels and upgraded red high-performance brake calipers. At the rear, it adopts a hidden exhaust layout, complemented by a continuous LED taillight assembly and a carbon fiber diffuser, resembling the design cues of the Nezha GT model.
This reintroduction of the Prelude signifies Honda's reentry into the two-door coupe market, expected to potentially enter the domestic market by next year, competing with models like the Civic and Accord coupes.
