On October 4th, BYD held a grand brand launch event at the Tajikistan International Exhibition Center, officially marking its entry into the country's passenger car market and further expanding its global footprint. This event not only represents a key step in BYD's strategic layout in Central Asia but also serves as a milestone in promoting the concept of green mobility. The event was graced by the presence of Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Ji Shumin and the Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe, Firdavs Saidzoda, who witnessed this historic moment.

At the launch event, the highly anticipated Song Pro DM-i Champion Edition made its debut in Tajikistan. This SUV combines intelligence, safety, and environmental protection, making it a perfect choice for both short and long journeys, thanks to its fast-charging technology, advanced safety features, and intelligent driving assistance. Another highlight of the event was the Destroyer 05 Champion Edition, equipped with BYD's DM-i Super Hybrid technology, which not only delivers exceptional fuel efficiency but also offers a driving experience that surpasses vehicles in its class, showcasing BYD's strong expertise in new energy vehicle technology.

In addition to these two models, BYD also introduced the Song PLUS EV Champion Edition, a five-seat SUV designed for eco-friendly and intelligent driving, with an elegant appearance and cutting-edge technology making it a standout in the electric SUV segment. The event also featured the debut of the compact electric hatchback e2, designed to meet the practical needs of urban travel with its innovative design and versatility.

Cao Shuang, Deputy General Manager of BYD Central Asia LLC, commented: "The automotive supply chain in Central Asia is rapidly developing, and the market potential is vast. Tajikistan is BYD's second market entry in the region after Kazakhstan. With the increasing demand for new energy vehicles among Tajikistani consumers, we believe BYD will help upgrade the country's automotive industry and promote the development of a green transportation system. BYD will continue to respond to the 'Belt and Road' initiative, driving innovation and offering environmentally friendly, intelligent mobility solutions globally. At the same time, we will work closely with local partners to provide Tajikistani consumers with a seamless purchasing experience and comprehensive after-sales service, building a robust service network."

On September 25th, BYD once again made history by becoming the world's first automaker to produce 9 million new energy vehicles. This achievement not only highlights BYD's leadership in technological innovation and market expansion but also reflects the strong recognition of the BYD brand by consumers worldwide. As of September 2024, BYD's new energy vehicles have expanded to 95 countries and regions across the globe. In the future, BYD will continue to strengthen its cooperation with partners in Tajikistan, offering more advanced products and services to contribute to the country's sustainable development.
